CLITHEROE are close to unveiling the successor to Lee Sculpher.
The search for a new boss has been on since player-manager Sculpher quit the UniBond First Division club last month after three years in charge.
Now chairman John Robinson has whittled his shortlist of candidates down to three and hopes to unveil the new Shawbridge boss at the club's AGM on Friday, ahead of Saturday's home game against Belper Town.
"We're not so far off but I don't want to say anything at the moment," Robinson said.
"We're happy with the applications we've received and have got a shortlist of three now.
"Ideally we want somebody in place ready for the Belper game but I'm hoping to have made a decision by tonight."
THERE is an open invitation to Clitheroe's AGM, which will be held in the clubhouse on Friday at 8pm.
