HISTORIC Browsholme Hall in the heart of the Ribble Valley is the unlikely setting for a new high-tech business that provides homes with domestic entertainment, security and business systems.
And the women behind the venture, Amanda Parker and Amy Edmondson, are celebrating an early success with a contract from the luxury holiday development at Ribblesdale Park, Gisburn.
Their firm Intellexa is providing the premier holiday lodges with home cinema systems and intelligent home and security controls.
A number of Premiership footballers have inquired about the £150,000-plus homes and England and Newcastle midfielder Nicky Butt is thought to have bought one.
Managing director Amanda is capitalising on her IT and audio visual experience to specialise in technical system installation, while creative director Amy uses her marketing and interior design qualifications to provide clients with design concepts for their home cinema, control systems and interiors.
Amy said: "We provide clients with systems that control their sound, TV, Sky, heating, lighting and security to name only a few. We specialise in providing valuable advice and innovative designs personal to each client's home."
Guy Hindley, owner of Ribblesdale Park said: "We awarded Intellexa the contract as their systems are state-of-the-art and innovative in design while simple to use."
