I WAS disappointed to hear the Tory general election candidate for Darwen commenting on Labour policy.

First, he's trying to convince us that life was better when the Conservatives were in power -- an argument few would agree with.

But worse, he obviously thinks we want to hear him simply attacking policies and public services.

People don't want a 'career' politician focusing on the negative, just trying to score political points.

We want 'can do' politician who helps improve our services.
