REPRESENTATIVES from another local council have visited Hyndburn to observe a council meeting.
Hyndburn Borough Council welcomed a delegation from Richmondshire District Council to a meeting of the cabinet.
The visitors also had an informal meeting with council leader, Councillor Peter Britcliffe, and the Cabinet, followed by a meeting with the managing director David Welsby, overview and scrutiny officer Paul Preston, opposition councillor Jean Battle and chairman of the planning committee Coun Janet Storey.
At the end of the Cabinet meeting there was an opportunity for the Richmondshire delegation to have a question and answer session with the leader, deputy leaders and managing director.
Speaking about the visit Coun Britcliffe said: "I'm delighted to welcome Richmondshire Council colleagues to Hyndburn.
"We are keen to share Hyndburn experiences and knowledge with other councils."
