ALCOHOLICS seeking help to overcome their problem are invited to a new group which has started in Hindley.
Reformed drinkers Brendan Delaney and Geert Mylle have organised weekly meetings which start on Thursdays (7pm-9pm) at All Saint's Church in Argyle Street, Hindley.
Brendan said: "Once a month I go to a funeral of a man or a woman aged under 50 and it's all because of alcohol.
"The government makes money from alcohol - it doesn't from drugs so no wonder there are 14 people in the area working with drug addicts and only three for those with alcohol problems.
"There is help out there for those who seek it. Sometimes it's better to discuss it."
