IT WAS a glittering affair at the annual Mayor's Ball in Prestwich on Friday 3rd.
Mayor and Mayoress of Bury, Couns Barry and Sharon Briggs welcomed guests to the Longfield Suite.
Civic leaders from across Greater Manchester were invited and almost 400 people enjoyed a five-course meal followed by dancing until late to music by The Mark Gillbanks Band.
A raffle organised by carnival queens from Prestwich and Radcliffe raised £700 for the Mayor's Charity Appeal for Bury Hospice and the Fairfield Baby Lifeline Society.
