WORSHIPPERS at Bury Unitarian Church have ensured that Christmas will be enjoyed by the less fortunate.
Children and members of the congregation have presented parcels of food and other items to two charities, the Porch Box Project and Lifeline.
Bury's mayor and mayoress, Councillor Barry Briggs and Coun Mrs Sharon Briggs, were guests at the special Christmas Parcels service held in the church. The gifts were received by Julia Rowlands, representing the Porch Box Project, and Bernie Vose, of Lifeline.
Special Christmas services at the church continue at 11.15am each Sunday and a service of communion will be held on Christmas Eve.
