ROVERS Ladies were rewarded with a mouth-watering home tie against Premier Division high-fliers Leeds United after comfortably beating Newcastle United 6-0 in the FA Cup third round.
Katie Anderton got the ball rolling with a shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box, Andrea Bell netted from a one-on-one and further strikes from Sarah McRea and Anderton made it 4-0 at half-time.
McRea then notched her second with a back post finish before Anderton completed the rout, and her hat-trick.
Coach Andy McNally said: "I think my players are unsung heroes, the way we are playing at the moment should make everybody connected with Blackburn Rovers proud."
