A DAD is lighting up the lives of hundreds of youngsters across East Lancashire this year after turning his home into a winter wonderland to raise money for charity.
Tony Jenkinson (above) has transformed his home in Aspen Fold, Oswaldtwistle with thousands of fairy lights, Christmas inflatables and models of Santa's sleigh.
The dad-of-four is asking families who drive from miles around to admire his spectacular display to make a donation to Marie Curie Cancer Care, which helped his dying father.
The charity has custom-built a notice board to hang outside the house along with a collection box for spectators to show their appreciation.
Mr Jenkinson, 48, who works at Asda, said: "I lost my dad four years ago to lung cancer .
"When I was little he used to put up lights all over the inside of our house, so it's something that reminds me of him."
Lancashire community fundraising manager Lyn Fenton said: "This family very kindly offered to raise money for our charity after we made a routine call to ask if they would help with door-to-door fundraising.
The lights are switched on at 4pm every day and are turned off at 11.30pm.
