PRESTON boss Billy Davies is looking forward to locking horns with new drinking buddy Steve Cotterill.
The two opposing managers, who clash in tomorrow's Lancashire derby, are close neighbours who share the same bar in the Ribble Valley.
And Davies admitted: "I had a meal, a few drinks and a chat with Steve after the Wigan game last weekend.
"I suppose it's unusual for rival managers to get together like that before their teams face each other, but if it's the first time it's ever happened, I hope it won't be the last."
Meanwhile, cash-strapped Preston claim they may need to sell a player after revealing they need home gates of 18,000 to break even - 5,000 above their current level.
