CLOWNING around was not on the agenda for pupils at Prestwich Community High School even though they took part in a circus skills workshop.
The youngsters tried their hand at juggling, stilt walking and plate spinning, with the help of the Circus Zapparelli group.
Russian performer Vlad Zabornikov - otherwise know as the Incredible Mr Slinky - worked with Year 7 pupils and passed on some of the skills that he performed with the Moscow State Circus.
Pupils at the perfoming arts college are able to use their new-found skills in subjects such as art, drama and music on circus-related projects.
