A BLACKPOOL man has denied murdering his wife by stabbing her through the heart as she babysat for four children.
Christopher Stanley Price, 52, of Chepstow Road, Grange Park, pleaded 'not guilty' to murdering his 25-year-old wife, Lisa, during an appearance before magistrates in the resort on Tuesday.
Mrs Price died from a single stab wound to the heart as she cared for the children, aged between five and 12, at a flat on Cookson Street in the town at around 7pm on Sunday, December 5. It is believed that police were first alerted to the stabbing after one of the children contacted the emergency services.
Paramedics rushed Mrs Price to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where she was later pronounced dead by doctors.
Price, who is unemployed, was arrested after police searched an address in the Grange Park area.
He was then questioned at Blackpool Police Station before being charged with murder on Monday.
He has now been remanded in custody until his next appearence before Preston Crown Court on December 14.
