A 14-YEAR-OLD boy sustained a fractured leg when he was struck by an off-road motorcycle performing a "wheelie."
Police are appealing for witnesses to track down the rider of the machine, who failed to stop following the accident in Deal Street, Bury, on Tuesday night.
A second youngster, also aged 14, sustained minor cuts and bruises in the incident which happened at 5.40pm.
Police say the boy who sustained the broken leg had earlier been skateboarding with his pals. As he was crossing the road, a yellow off-road motorcycle, covered in mud, travelled down the street at speed on one wheel. As the rider neared the group of friends, his machine collided with the two 14-year-old boys.

The injured youngster was taken to Fairfield Hospital and detained.
