YOUNG footballers face disappointment after car vandals made tracks on their playing pitches.
Players from Bury FC also had to train at an alternative venue after turf at Goshen playing fields was ripped apart by car wheels on Monday night.
Ground staff discovered the damage on Tuesday, ahead of a routine training session for Shakers players.
The club found an alternative site for their sessions at Lower Gigg, while pitch staff assessed the damage and counted the cost of repair.
Two centre of excellence pitches have been badly affected, and games for under-10s may have to be cancelled at the weekend.
Bury FC spokesman Gordon Sorfleet said: "We don't know if its one vehicle or more, but it's made a real mess.
"The kids will be very disappointed. They missed playing at the weekend because of the weather and now they might miss out again because of lunatics driving over the pitch."
