I AM a nurse at Fairfield Hospital and am writing to express my anger and my concern about the lack of car park security there.
I was unlucky enough to have my car broken into twice and badly damaged over the same weeked. Other cars were also broken into.
So with staff, patients and visitors having to pay parking fees, why isn't there more of a security presence? Why isn't there proper lighting and cameras? It's a joke!
We pay these parking fees yet can not rely on the security of our vehicles when we are working, particularly on late shifts or at night. What does the revenue from these parking fees get used for anyway? Certainly not to improve security.
I also have an issue over personal safety of both the public and staff using these parking areas. The car parks are not well lit and some staff have a long walk before they reach their work area.
It's about time this problem was sorted out.
