THE latest catwalk trends will be in the spotlight as pupils from a Bury high school mix fashion with business in aid of charity.
A dozen pupils from Bury Grammar Girls, who have recently formed a Young Enterprise company called Bounce, will be holding a fashion show at the Longfield Suite in Rectory Lane, Prestwich, on March 18 and are expecting an audience of up to 400 people.
Pupils at the Bridge Road school are busy practising their best catwalk pose to model the clothes with many dance routines choreographed by sixth form students.
Bounce has already been raising money through sweet and jewellery sales at the school and by bringing romance to the school on Valentines Day with a Valentines magazine containing love messages from pupils inside. The group is holding the show in the hope of repeating the success of an earlier fashion show organised at the school six years ago and will be donating the profits to various charities, including the tsunami appeal and the One to One Childrens Fund.
Tickets for the show are £5 for children and £7.50 per adult and available by calling 0161 761 1012 or 0774 996 1310.
