A BLACKPOOL woman has urged the courts never to release her daughter from the life sentences she is serving for the murder of her grandmother.
Pauline Mitchell, whose daughter, Julie Kenyon, was jailed in July 2003 for the murder of 89-year-old Irene Waters, who suffered from chronic bronchitis.
Mother-of-eight Mrs Mitchell, 68, wrote to the Life Imprisonment Minimum Terms Section: "" have always loved all my children and forgiven many things, no matter the hurt caused to me... now that is impossible, this (the murder) has torn them apart, heart and soul."
Relatives of Mrs Waters and other interested parties have been asked to give their views before the High Court sets the minimum tariff. The murder case is also being examined by the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
