Leigh Centurions have bolstered their squad with the addition of blockbusting winger Dominic Feaunati from St Helens.
The 26-year-old Samoan, snapped up by Saints after the 2003 rugby union World Cup, scored eight tries in 20 appearances for them and was a substitute in the 2004 Powergen Challenge Cup final.
Head coach Darren Abram said: "We are pleased to have Dom with us. He is a big, strong player who has played both union and league to a high standard.
"He will bring both pace and power to our squad and will be a hit with the fans for sure. Hopefully, he will give us that cutting edge that we have been missing."
The 6ft 2in Feaunati, yet to appear for Saints this year, has signed for the Centurions for this season with an option for 2006.
"I am very pleased to come to Leigh," he said.
"I have visited the club and was impressed by what I saw.
"I believe that Leigh can be a success in Super League and, speaking to Darren Abram and some of the players, there is a strong belief in what they are doing which is both refreshing and very positive."
