THE Home Secretary tells us that we face a "real and substantial threat" of terrorism in this country. So whose fault is that then?
Our Prime Minister has taken Britain into five wars in six years, created mass migrations of people from the terror he has imposed upon them and only now, is in sheer panic that there might be repercussions from his brutality.
The odd thing is that there have been no such incidents.
Not a life has been lost, not an injury sustained from all the terrorists allegedly loose in our society.
Yet our politicians are conspiring to make our flesh creep.
They tell us that they know things they can't tell us about.
They told us that over the Iraq war.
When the Chief of the defence staff was scared he might end up in the Hague as a war criminal, Tony Blair certified that there was a real and immediate threat to this country from Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.
We all know that this was unlikely as the United Nation's teams had found no such weapons. But he couldn't wait to rush to war.
I am all in favour of locking up people who are a danger to society.
I hope to see Blair, Straw, Clarke and the rest put behind bars before they succeed in their plans to rob us of our civil liberties and perhaps launch further wars on other countries, because that is the real and substantial threat that this country faces.
