THE Conservative Party has issued an invitation to voters to petition for an increase in the number of police. They have also recently advertised extensively on the subject of council tax.
To add to the council tax by increasing the cost of policing, while at the same time advocating reducing council tax, seems to me to be either stupid or the Tory right hand not knowing what the left is doing.
When the next general election comes, it will be the time to remember such lack of consistency.
What we need is more support for parents - not more police - and less TV and internet encouragement to break the law and misbehave.
