CHILDREN at a Pendle school dressed up as their literary heroes.
Christ Church School, Colne, staged a book character day to coincide with World Book Day.
Youngsters and teachers at the Bent Lane school dressed as their favourite characters and a number of writing classes based upon personalities from comics, fairytales and fiction books were held.
William Taylor, 10, (chairman of the school council) dressed as Dumbledore, head master of Hogwarts in Harry Potter.
