COUNCIL housing chiefs have received the "thumbs up" from the Government for their future plans.
Both the housing strategy and the housing business plan have been declared "fit for purpose" months ahead of schedule.
The reports look at housing needs in general and specifically of groups such as disabled people, pensioners, young people and ethnic minorities.
The vote of confidence means that Bury will not have to produce revised versions of these documents for at least three years. It will also contribute to the council's overall rating.
