PUPILS at Castlebrook High School swapped their exercise books for holiday brochures to prove their potential as the entrepreneurs of the future.
The group of Year 10 students at the school in Parr Lane, Unsworth, were crowned Best Business in the Franchiser Masterclass competition at Radcliffe Civic Suite, with their travel agency business Up, Up and Away.
The team building exercise allowed the youngsters to live the lives of entrepreneurs by sorting out all the necessary details needed to turn their business into a success, including finding a location, advertising and applying for funding.
They were joined by a team from Year 9 who won the Best Advertising title for their car sales company.
Teacher Clare Smith, the Enterprise co-ordinator, said: "The pupils had a ball, a really good time, and the competition is just one part of the enterprise programme at Castlebrook. We want all our pupils to be thinking about their future careers, their options and potential and their is a lot more to come."
