NICH Ajose's goal in the 1-0 Coca Cola Greater Manchester Under 13s County Cup win over St Bede's College not only made Gabs county champions, it also put the school's Year 8 side into the Coca Cola National Schools Cup.
There, St Gabriels beat Ellesmere Port 5-4 on penalties after it had finished 3-3 after extra time.
Gabs are now due to play Cardinal Heenan HS in the quarter-finals of the North of England section of the National competition.
But it is not only football that Nich and some of his teammates excel at.
For along with Ross Little, Chris Marsh, Paul Neary, Adiel Chikerema, Conor Winter-Davies and Joe Vaughan, the boys won another honour for their school after they became Bury's Year 8-9 Cross Country champions
