A BUS company has vowed to investigate claims that Darwen commuters are consistently late for work and left stranded in bad weather.
People using the number 1 Darwen to Accrington bus along Bolton Road say they often have to wait up to 20 minutes for their bus.
The worst-affected services are the 8.45am from Park Road, Whitehall, into Darwen and the 5.45pm return.
Blackburn Transport chief Michael Morton said no complaints had been received, but asked users to report lateness so he could get to the bottom of the problem.
He said: "The A666 is aninteresting animal.
"Sometimes it flows pretty freely and other days it gets snarled up.
"We have regular monitors on the route and our performance is well within what we expect.
"But we need to know places and times so we can have a look."
Dorothy Forlan, of Marton Walk, said: "It's getting beyond a joke.
"One lady who uses the same stop as me constantly has to apologise to her bosses for being late."
Problems can be notified to Blackburn Transport offices on 01254 504800 or emailing info@blackburntransport.co.uk
