AMBASSADORS are needed to make Blackburn streets ahead of the rest.
The new East Blackburn Partnership is looking for 'Street Ambassadors' for every street in Whitebirk, Queens Park and Audley to provide a vital communication link and ensure residents' views are heard by authorities.
The role would see ambassadors talking to neighbours and welcoming new people to the area.
Another important task would be as a residents' spokesman at quarterly residents' forums.
Ambassadors would give feedback from their neighbours on how they think public services are doing, what improvements are needed and ideas on how community life can be enhanced.
Those taking on the post would also be asked to deliver newsletters.
All those volunteering will receive training and guidance. For details call Cathy Swan on 01254 503203.
