PUPILS at Woodbank Primary School are making good use of their newly-built fitness and activity trail .
The wood and chains apparatus, designed by Playdale and installed by EDS Technical Services, was constructed last term at the Brandlesholme Road school and pupils jumped at the chance to test out the new equipment when it opened officially last month.
Headteacher Mr John Wood said: "The finished result is a superb asset to the school and the children's outdoor education and general fitness. The apparatus forms only a part of what we plan to be a larger trail which will extend around the school field to allow the children access to the area during inclement weather and to promote fitness through circuit training."
The school is now looking for further sources of funding for the next phase of the project.
