Police in Greater Manchester are hunting a gang of youths who attacked a man described as a "good Samaritan".
The 40-year-old was driving past Scholes precinct in Wigan when he saw a man on the floor being punched in the head by five or six teenagers.
He turned his car around and got out to help, but was surrounded by the gang who hit him in the face with a metal bar. He suffered cuts and bruises.
