YOUNGSTERS will be digging in to help volunteers planting shrubs in a Nelson Park.
Pupils at Walverden School will don their gardening gear and lend a hand to the Friends of Walverden Park as they plant a range of shrubs including forsythia, viburnum and roses.
They will be getting their green fingers dirty on March 14 and 17 from 1.15pm to 3.15pm.
Sameera Asghar, Pendle Council's Events Officer, said: "Events like this provide an enjoyable opportunity for children to understand what an invaluable resource their local park is."
