THE snow may only just be melting from Pendle Hill but Friends of Valley Gardens are already turning their attentions to the summer.
The group is preparing for the Barnoldswick park's annual summer fair on June 11 and is appealing for people to step forward and run stalls. Friends of Valley Gardens would like to hear from charitable organisations who would like a stall to raise money for their funds.
Fred Stewart, Pendle Council's Parks Outreach Officer, said: "This is a great opportunity for charities to raise money in a relaxed and social atmosphere."
Coun Mahboob Ahmed, Pendle Council's Executive Member for Community Arts and Leisure, said: "I hope that all the community can come together at this event and help raise money for some very deserving charities."
There is a minimal charge for stalls. Anyone interested should contact the Friends' secretary on 01282 815483.
