BURNLEY youths went goal crazy to romp to a stunning 4-0 win away at Wigan Athletic.
Four Clarets got their name on the scoresheet as Terry Pashley's youngsters racked up their first win in the Merit League Division One at the second attempt.
Burnley opened the scoring in the opening minutes when Marc Pugh stroked the ball past the Latics' keeper from close range.
The visitors held on to the lead for the remainder of the half and doubled their advantage after the restart when Alex Taylor pounced on a goalkeeping error. Chris McCann, playing in midfield, soon added a third with a powerful drive from distance and the scoring was wrapped up by Adam Jones, who fired a drive low into the corner.
