PENDLE'S Jobcentre Plus is just the job for local unemployed people, says its MP Gordon Prentice.
He paid a glowing tribute to staff at the centre, in Netherfield Road, Nelson, after a visit.
The Labour backbencher said they deserve plaudits for their work to get people into employment.
The MP was speaking at Westminster following a meeting with manager Rosemary Osborne, and her staff.
Mr Prentice said: "I had a round-the-table discussion with Rosemary and her staff and was hugely impressed by the work that is being done to get people back into work. Jobcentre Plus helps give people the skills to successfully apply for a job -- and to keep it.
"The plain fact is that unemployment in Pendle has never been lower."
