ANOTHER good performance by Lancastrian Squash first team against a rapidly improving young team from Cheetham Hill keeps the Leigh men firmly in a promotion place.
John O'Donnell got off to a great start, working tremendously hard to keep his nose in front. John kept his composure and played good squash to run out a 3-0 winner.

Mike Carter continued his fine form, allowing his opponent no opportunity to take control, and winning convincingly by 3-0.
Tod Bulmer needed a little time to get up to speed and lost the first game. From then on, he picked up his game to show some fine all-court play and gained a comfortable 3-1 win.
Howard Thornley was now left just to consolidate the points. He was surprised by his young adversary's deft play at the front of the court and lost the first game, but from then on Howard forced him to the back and the youngster had no answer. Howard won 3-1.
The second team, at home to the stronger of the two Cheetham Hill teams, also won the night.
Mike Howard lost his first game against an energetic youngster, experience and composure was a winning formula giving Mike a 3-1 victory. Jim Capon and Graham Draper lost 3-1 and 3-0 respectively. Bob Morgan made short work of his opponent winning comfortably 3-0.
