HINDSFORD FC won 3-1 at home to Heywood St James FC on Saturday.
Ryan Willett opened the scoring with a shot across the keeper to give Hindsford a half time lead.
Heywood had plenty of possession in the second half but rarely troubled the home defence with Mark Redmond and Tony Brown putting in good performances and Barry Edge making one excellent save.
Dave Fashou made it two when he collected Simon Hampson's pass and ran through to give the keeper little chance. Heywood got back in the game, beating the offside trap, but Mark Morris made the game safe with a good effort in the closing minutes.
The second team drew 2-2 away at Leigh Athletic.
On Saturday the 1st team are away at Stand Athletic.The seconds are at home to Leigh Athletic, kick offs 2.30pm.
