Sedgley lost stand-off Louis Singleton (injured before the game) and centre Adam Cheshire early on, and never recovered.
Against good opponents, they found themselves on the wrong end of an horrendous penalty-count, and were 10-0 down at half-time, having defended for the entire first half.
The defence had been superb and the pack magnificent.
The second half was more evenly contested until Hoppers scored a late try.
