League Cup First Round: Sedgley were missing a host of good players but should still have performed better than this.
The wind was not used to advantage in the first half, and basics were performed poorly, with the line-out a shining exception.
Robert Harrisons try, from a diagonal kick by stand-off Kent Abbot and converted by John Lillie, put Sedgley 7-0 up after a dull first half.
But the whole of the second half was played in Sedgley territory as the visitors used the conditions better than Park.
That there was only one try was tribute to Sedgleys defence there was no shortage of effort or commitment by the team. The touchline conversion proved crucial.
Sedgley reserved their best rugby for the final quarter but it was to no avail and Aldwinians deserved their winning draw.
