Technology, technology, we've got far too much technology,
I'd like to watch a video
But don't know which knobs to press.
I can't record a programme
I've tried every knob and button
I've upset all the system
And it's really in a mess.
The washing machine is just as bad
It's got programmes galore,
For cottons and synthetics
And goodness knows how many more.
I'll wait until the kids come round
They'll sort things out, I'm sure,
The youngest knows which knobs to press
And he is only four.
I cannot use the internet
Don't know how to shop online,
But give me a pen and paper
That will suit me just fine.
A word to all you manufacturers
I know maybe you'll scoff,
But all I want is something simple
And a knob which says on/off.
