PRESTWICH councillor Steven Treadgold has been nominated to become the next Mayor of Bury.
Coun Treadgold, a Labour councillor who represents the St Mary's ward and lives in Sunnymede Vale, Holcombe Brook, was put forward to take over from Coun Barry Briggs during Bury Council's Executive meeting on Wednesday.
His nomination will be ratified at the next full council meeting in April.
