TYLDESLEY Probus Club members were given a lesson in staying healthy.
They were told by John Buckley, director of the Atherton Arterial Disease Clinic, to stop arteries from hardening or furring up they should not smoke, eat a sensible diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables, cut out salt and eat less fat and sugar. They should also stop themselves getting overweight, take a brisk 30 minute walk three times a week and check their blood pressure.
