The Fusion 05 event lived up its billing as hundreds packed into King George's Hall, Blackburn.
Fusion 05, arranged by the Asian Business Federation, the University of Salford and Asian Image, was sold out 24 hours before the show, but that did not stop fans queuing outside in an attempt to gain entry. The show was subsequently delayed by half an hour as over 1400 people took their seats.
Once Fusion 05 got underway it was the headline act Raghav who stole the show as a vibrant crowd showed their appreciation as he performed his latest chart topping hits.
The capacity audience was also treated to the largest gathering of Asian fashion houses in an awesome catwalk display.
Fusion 05 involved members of the Asian Business Federation who from around the region.
"The mere fact that Fusion '05 was a sell out shows that the event has been successful," said Shabnam Patel, of the ABF, "I am so pleased for our members who have put so much effort into preparing all the clothes, make-up, hair and jewellery for the show. The ABF is continually looking to work alongside the creative sector of our membership and Fusion 05 is just one of the examples how our partnership is working.
But it was the audience who were treated to a combination of fashion, dance and live music who most enjoyed the evening.
It was absolutely fantastic, especially when Raghav came on he brought the house down, "said an excited Anjum Riaz of Blackburn, "There was so much fashion on display my friends and I had a really good night out."
And Ambreen Kauser, of Burnley, wants more of the same, At last we had a show for the Asian population of Lancashire the music and fashions were excellent. It would be a waste if we had this Fusion event and then nothing else for five years."
Dance acts NRG and a group of dancers from Burnley College also enthralled the audience with their moves.
Some of the organisations involved in the event were Huffles Creations, the amazing jewellery providers for Fusion 05, Blush Hair and Beauty, Kohl, Dreamz, and Lace Bridal.
During the afternoon over 200 businesses got an exclusive opportunity to see the fashion show.
And at an auction as part of the first event, local businesses raised £2,095 in under an hour.
Prizes were donated by ABF members.
A bridal dress donated by Lace Bridal Wear raised £240 during a raffle.
