I WANT to draw attention to the actions of a driver whose irresponsible behaviour left my daughter shocked and both of us lucky not to have been killed.
The blonde woman concerned was driving a small red car, possibly a Peugeot 206, along Brandlesholme Road, Bury, from the direction of Greenmount. It was 10am on Saturday and I was driving up Brandlesholme Road from the direction of Bury, and approaching the right-hand bend at its junction with Longsight Road. It was my intention to continue along Longsight Road so I was not indicating.
As I reached the junction this woman suddenly pulled out in front of me, causing me to swerve violently and mount the pavement. She then indicated to pull over to the side, stopped momentarily, but then drove on.
It is illegal to drive away from the scene of an accident and this woman had no way of knowing whether either of us was injured. Her behaviour was inexcusable. I just hope she sees this.
