A SPECIAL Aimhigher conference hopes to be on target to allow bosses and staff to gain higher education (HE) qualifications.
The event is to take place at the Village Hotel in Bury on Tuesday between 2.30pm and 5.30pm.
Aimhigher is working to actively promote access to workplace learning and development for employees and to raise awareness about HE opportunities available in the borough.
Designed exclusively for employees who have aspirations of gaining higher education qualifications at level 4 and level 5, the conference will include several presentations and workshops to enable individuals access to extensive information about the type and range of courses available
The main providers of the qualifications who will be present at the event and providing extensive information will include Bury College, Holy Cross College, The University of Bolton and Liverpool Hope University.
Sean OHenly, Aimhigher development manager, said: "This conference sets out to inform employers and their employees of the higher education provision available in Bury."
Around 100 companies in Bury and the surrounding area have been invited to attend including: Senior Hargreaves, Fragrance Oils International, CIS, Excelsior Group International and Harwill Engineering
Aimhigher is a national initiative aimed at widening participation and increasing the number of people that go into higher education in order to gain qualifications and enhance their career prospects.
