I AM appealing on behalf of Heart Research for any walkers with a heart for a challenge to take part in Heart Research's Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Saturday, June 18.
We are dedicated to fighting the nation's biggest killer -- heart disease -- and we need your help to ensure that our vital work in the battle to beat the disease continues.
Returning for its ninth year, the event takes walkers through the three highest peaks in Yorkshire -- Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough -- involving a cumulative ascent of over 1,500 metres and covering over 26 miles of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Participants can choose to do one, two or all three peaks, making this an event for families as well as serious walkers.
