A PARTY with a serious purpose was the reward for young people who look after disabled or ill brothers and sisters.
They were rewarded with a get-together at The Met arts centre in Bury hosted by Bury Young Carers, a voluntary group set up by the Carers Partnership and various council teams.
As well as saying thanks, the organisers wanted to ask the carers for their views on what services could be provided to make their task easier. A range of creative activities had been arranged to hep draw out their feelings about having a disabled sibling.
