WITH just two weeks to go before England Under-19s take on Sweden at Gigg Lane in the elite qualifying round for the UEFA Under19 European Championships, manager Martin Hunter has named his 18-man squad.
The tournament, which takes place on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday, March 26, 28 and 30 will showcase talented youngsters from England, Sweden, Moldova and Denmark who will battle it out for a place in this summer's European Under-19 championship finals.
Hunter's England side will be going into the matches with confidence.

On naming the squad the England Under-19 manager said: "It's a well known fact that a lot of these players have already got first team experience, so it's a very talented group to work with.
"We go into the mini-tournament for the players to pit their wits against the best in Europe.
"Performance is important, but these are competitive matches and we'll be looking to win them.
"The matches are a real test and I hope football fans in the north west will come along and support the team."
The full squad is: Matthew Bates (Middlesbrough), Dean Bowditch (Ipswich), Martin Cranie (Southampton), Laurence Wilson (Everton), Tom Heaton (Manchester United), Lee Holmes (Derby County), Phil Ifil (Tottenham Hotspur), Ryan Jarvis (Norwich City), Richard Jones (Manchester United), Grant Leadbitter (Sunderland), Aaron Lennon (Leeds United), David Martin (MK Dons), Anthony McMahon (Middlesbrough), Matthew Mills (Southampton), Luke Moore (Aston Villa), Ryan Smith (Arsenal)and Andrew Taylor (Middlesbrough).
