BOSSES at a Burnley firm are confident buyers will take a shine to their newly launched reflective clothing range -- which they say is putting style into safety.
Lynton James, 36, and Kevin McKenna, 56, set up Insight Reflective, Manchester Road, at the start of the year.
And the two managing directors are already in talks with the makers of Action Man, Hasbro UK, and sporting giants Reebok regarding incorporating their designs on Insight Reflective's multi-coloured stock.
The pair previously ran A1, manufacturers of reflective clothing for the building trade.
But after three years they sold up to concentrate on their new venture.
After receiving advice and support from Burnley Enterprise's Investing in Enterprise project they now aim to fill a hole in the market by proving reflective clothing can be as fashionable as it is safety conscious.
Lynton said: "Safety is usually the last thing on a youngster's mind, but by making our garments fashionable and featuring cartoon characters they will want to wear them. The fact they are increasing safety means parents will want to buy them."
The entrepreneurial duo have also been speaking to schools and promoting their reflective bags which they can produce in the schools colour with their logo design.
Lynton added: "I'm excited about the new market we're entering and feel there's a real need for our garments."
The firm employs two other staff and their base, which includes a design studio and warehouse.
