AN "EGG-CITING" weekend of Easter fun is on offer to Pendle residents.
Pendle Council is inviting residents to Marsden Park, Nelson, for a "spectacular weekend of unrivalled entertainment".
On Saturday, March 26, from 11am to 2pm, children can design an Easter Bonnet to wear at an Easter Bonnet Parade the following day at noon.
Also on the Sunday will be an Easter Bonnet Competition, a free bouncy castle and an Easter Egg Hunt.
To add to Pendle's Fairtrade celebrations, the Easter eggs are made from 'fairly traded' chocolate.
Coun David Foster, chair of the Council's Nelson Area Committee, said: "Events like this are a great opportunity to bring the community together and what better place to do it than at Marsden Park.
"Pendle has some fantastic parks which are receiving major investment over the coming years. We want everyone to see how valuable they are."
Pendle Council's Parks Events Officer Sameera Asghar added: "It is going to be a great day and something that both children and adults alike can enjoy.
"The events are free of charge but we would ask that all children under the age of eight are accompanied by an adult."
