STAFF in Bury Council's sports development team have achieved Quest status following assessment by independent inspectors.
This is a national "kite mark" scheme for the sport and leisure industry.
Examiners looked at the team's strategy, people management and service delivery, and spoke to a range of local and regional partners.
Jackie Veal, sports development manager, said: "This is a great achievement for the team as it acknowledges all the hard work delivered by the officers and local clubs, development groups, schools and the community.
"We look at this as the catalyst for continual improvement."
