A TEENAGER escaped serious injury when his car careered across a road and into a garden fence and wall before bursting into flames.
It is understood the youth, believed to be aged 17, may have blacked out at the wheel of his Renault Clio seconds before the accident which happened in Gigg Lane, Bury, at 4.45pm on Wednesday.
The vehicle left the road and went into two gardens, striking a fence and colliding with a garden wall before catching fire.
The driver was able to free himself from the Clio. Emergency services attended and the youth was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. No other vehicle was involved.
