DANCE students were well and truly kept on their toes this week when Bury's Holy Cross College hosted a special workshop.
Representatives of the Richard Alston Dance Company took time out from their national tour to pass on their expertise during the three-hour event staged at the college on Tuesday. Richard Alston is one of the UK's foremost contemporary choreographers and his acclaimed company celebrate their tenth anniversary this year.
A dancer and musician from the company spent three hours at the workshop which benefited around 18 A-level dance students. And they were given an opportunity to put into practice what they had learned by taking to the floor to display their modern contemporary dance skills.
